FIFA 15 Ultimate Team Transfers Be Limited by Price Range

To fight against coin sellers, EA Sports launched a new feature in FIFA Ultimate Team. And to the new feature, different people willl have different feelings. Some people aren’t especially happy. Like, really not happy.

FIFA Ultimate Team Transfers

According to EA Sports, the feature is rolling out now and will impose a price range limit on all FIFA Ultimate Team items (players, in-forms, consumables, and club items) sold on the Transfer Market. Every item will have its own highest and lowest price.

These new features are designed to, “help FIFA Ultimate Team gamers understand the value of the players in their Club”, “make high-rated players more attainable for all FIFA Ultimate Team gamers and ensure a level playing field”, “further restrict illegitimate coin transfers on the Transfer Market.”

EA Sports adds that, “Although the new FIFA Ultimate Team item Price Ranges will differ from current prices, their relative value to other player items on the Transfer Market will remain consistent in order to maintain a level playing field for everyone.”

EA Sports declared war on FIFA Ultimate Team coin sellers back in August last year, threatening bans for the use of Ultimate Team coin farming bots, as well as those using third-party websites to buy and sell coins. A month later it was revealed that FIFA 15 Ultimate Team would not allow players to trade cards directly with their friends. This is just their latest step.

The move hasn’t gone down well with some fans, who are upset at the changes to the FIFA Ultimate Team economy. Whoever’s managing EA Sports’ Twitter account isn’t having the best time at the moment.

“We are confident that, in the long run, the FIFA Ultimate Team community as a whole will come to appreciate the balanced benefits that this new feature will bring to all FIFA Ultimate Team players, but it’s important you let us know what you think,” adds EA Sports.

The new feature, Price Ranges, stated that all Price Ranges will be universal across Xbox, PlayStation and PC. When you list an item on the Transfer Market, the range at which an item can be sold will appear. These price ranges will be set by the FIFA Team based on analysis of past Transfer Market prices. After Price Ranges have been activated, open bid transfers will be unavailable. In order to list an item on the Transfer Market, you will have to set a “Buy It Now” price within the Price Range.

Of course, every item of FIFA Ultimate Team will be set wide enough to enjoy trading on the Transfer Market. Similarly, the price range is not static, it will be adjusted to meet the demand in the future as we work to improve this feature over time.
