Gerard Pique:I want to see Chelsea win the Champions League

Chelsea win the Champions League is Gerard Pique's dream

Gerard Pique has admitted that he would like to see Chelsea win the Champions League this season if his own Barcelona side fail to do so. (Buy Fifa 15 Coins PC, XBOX 360, XBOX ONE, PS3, PS4, Android, IOS Service on UTfifa15coins.)

The centre-back has had a glittering career at the Nou Camp, winning Europe’s biggest prize twice amongst a host of other honours. Pique is keen to complete the hat-trick this season, but readily admits he is hoping Chelsea can come up with the goods if Barcelona can’t.

He told Cadena Cope: “If Barca don’t win the Champions League, then I hope Chelsea win. Cesc Fabregas plays there and he’s my friend.”

A CLOSE FRIENDSHIP

Pique and Fabregas grew up together through Barcelona’s La Masia system but were separated when the midfielder moved to Arsenal. Pique joined Manchester United but both were eventually reunited in La Liga.

While Pique has been a key player for Barcelona since his return, Fabregas failed to convince fans of his ability and was frequently jeered by the Nou Camp faithful last season. He was sold to Chelsea this summer and has since proved to be a worthwhile addition.

COULD CHELSEA WIN IT AGAIN?

Whether Fabregas could inspire Chelsea to a Champions League triumph is another thing altogether though. The are favourites to advance past Paris Saint-Germain and into the quarter-finals by the likes of Bayern Munich and Real Madrid will be a different challenge.

Chelsea have already showed signs of straining from a Premier League title fight and will have to keep up the pace if they are to fend off Manchester City. As the season wears on, Jose Mourinho will need a lot of luck to advance to the latter stages.

They famously won the trophy in 2012 but the campaign took its toll on their Premier League form. While they took home the European Cup, they finished way down in sixth place in the Premier League.

However, Mourinho is probably the best manager if you want to win the Champions League. He has already won it with two different clubs and would like nothing more than to bring it to Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea are currently fourth favourites with most bookies placing their chances at 7/1.

Do Chelsea fans think they have a genuine chance of winning the Champions League? Should Jose Mourinho start prioritising it ahead of the Premier League? Tell us your views in the comment section below!

Lukas Podolski may Return to Arsenal

Lukas Podolski wants return to Arsenal

Arsenal flop Lukas Podolski is set to make a surprise return to Arsene Wenger’s fold this summer, as Inter Milan aren’t keen on turning his loan-spell into a permanent move. (Buy Fifa 15 Coins PC, XBOX 360, XBOX ONE, PS3, PS4, Android, IOS Service on UTfifa15coins.)

That’s according to the Daily Express, who cite Italian sources when they claim that Roberto Mancini is focused on an alternative target in Paris Saint-Germain’s Ezequiel Lavezzi, and so has little use for Podolski.

PODOLSKI FRUSTRATIONS

The German international moved to the San Siro only last month, having fallen down the pecking order in north London and become desperate to get more on-pitch opportunities. However he’s found little solace in Serie A, with Bayern Munich’s Xherdan Shaqiri – who is also a new addition to the club – and hot-shot Mauro Icardi providing stern competition for a first-team place.

In fact Podolski has been an unused substitute in both of Inter’s last two matches, and it could transpire that he finds it just as difficult to force his way into the manager’s plans there as he did at Arsenal.

LAVEZZI OVER PODOLSKI

The rumour in question states that Mancini is instead looking to France to find the man he sees capable of helping restore Inter’s former glory. PSG’s Lavezzi has been reportedly unsettled for some time, and if Fredy Guarin is wafted under Laurent Blanc’s nose as part of the deal, Mancini is of the opinion that the Frenchman will do business.

That outcome would all but confirm Podolski’s return to Arsenal, and it makes sense to assume he’d be offered little reprieve. His criticisms of Wenger since leaving north London – albeit made in frustration – were likely offered with the assumption that the Gunners would cease to be his club from the end of the season onwards. It’s now looking like he’ll be with them until he can find someone else to take him on.

NO HOPE AT ARSENAL

Currently Alexis Sanchez is dominating headlines for his classy performances for Wenger, and with Theo Walcott’s return from injury having gone smoothly and Mesut Ozil looking somewhat back to his best, the wide areas are all covered.

Couple that with the fact that Danny Welbeck and Olivier Giroud are both fighting for the place in the centre of the front-line, and Podolski’s position with Arsenal looks untenable indeed.

BUNDESLIGA RETURN?

Perhaps a move back to the Bundesliga is best, with the player himself having admitted in the past to having plans of an eventual Cologne return. Though Bayern Munich’s iron grip on the division would virtually rule out any hope of securing major domestic silverware, it could be the right place for him to rebuild his reputation before age begins to take a toll on his abilities.

Manchester United suffered a serious setback in Transfer Market

Manchester United’s hopes of signing Marco Reus this summer have suffered a serious setback after the German playmaker penned a new four-and-a-half year contract with Borussia Dortmund. The Bundesliga giants confirmed on Tuesday morning that the 25-year-old midfielder has committed his future until 2019, and crucially the £20m release clause inserted in his previous deal has been removed. Louis van Gaal was eager to bring Reus to Old Trafford at the end of the season, but the Red Devils could now be forced to pay upwards of £50m to make the move possible. Real Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern Munich and Arsenal have all been mooted as admirers of Reus as well, and will be similarly disappointed to hear about the latest show of loyalty that has become increasingly rare in the modern football era. Dortmund have endured a disastrous season with Jurgen Klopp’s side languishing near the bottom of the table, but that hasn’t deterred Reus from renewing terms. FIFA GAMES HISTORY

1

It’s hard to believe, but EA Sports’ legendary FIFA series is now 22-years-old, having survived and adapted to repeated new console generations, and even new business models. We get a brand new game each year like clockwork, but while we love them all, there’s no denying some are more influential or memorable than others. (Buy Cheap Fifa 15 Coins Online, We are the Top-rated sellers for cheap Fut coins!)

Maybe it’s the first one you ever played, a particular soundtrack, the first FIFA game you actually managed to score a bicycle kick in, or just the first edition that you discovered Ultimate Team mode in, but we all have our favourites. So what’s yours? Below, we’ve come up with a list of the 10 most significant installments of FIFA ever, with a quick refresher on why.

1. FIFA International Soccer (1993)

The game that started it all debuted late in 1993. Its isometric gameplay looks dated now, but was a breath of fresh air for Sega Mega Drive players at the time.

2. FIFA 96 (1995)

The first game in the series to make the jump to full 3D and offer real player names.

3. FIFA: Road to World Cup 98 (1997)

While fans were sorry to see 97′s fun indoor mode ditched, the excellent World Cup tournament mode more than made up for its absence, while the licensed soundtrack (Blur, Song 2) cranked-up the production values, setting the bar for future games.

4. FIFA 2001 (2000)

We take online play with FIFA for granted these days, but it wasn’t until the start of the new millenium that the mode was added to the series, and even then only on PC.

5. FIFA Football 2003 (2002)

With revamped graphics and the new ‘Freestyle Control’ method for flicking the ball to team-mates, FIFA 03 was a much more sophisticated game than its predecessors. It also marked the first time a FIFA game was released on mobiles, years before the smartphone app explosion.

6. FIFA 06 (2005)

After three years, EA gave FIFA another big graphical overhaul with FIFA 06, just in time for the series’ debut on Xbox 360. As an added bonus, the original FIFA 94 was playable inside the game’s retro section.

7. FIFA 09 (2008)

The first edition to introduce the legendary Ultimate Team mode. EA would have no idea howcrucial the option would become to the series at the time.

8. FIFA 10 (2009)

While FIFA had jumped to 3D 15-years earlier, it wasn’t until FIFA 10 that player movement was updated in a big way, finally giving your players full 360 degree movement, instead of the typical 8-way directions they could manage previously.

9. FIFA 11 (2010)

Come on. The first game in the series to let you play a match as the goalkeeper. How was this not going to be on the list?

10. FIFA 14 (2013)

The first FIFA on PS4 and Xbox One, marking the debut of the stunning new Ignite engine.

SINGAPORE – Singapore defender Safuwan Baharudin now features in popular football video game Fifa 15, after his loan move to A-League side Melbourne City. He is a player we rate highly from what we have seen and we think he can still make big steps. So you can buy FIFA Coins at fifacoinsfut.org to get him in FUT, His Performance will not let you be disappointed!

Following an update earlier this week, the 23-year-old appears on the bench of the Australian side bearing the name “Baharudin”, which appears on the back of his jersey in the game as well. He is believed to be the only Singaporean player in Fifa 15.

With a rating of 56, he is the fourth-best centre-back in the squad, and can also play at right-back and as a defensive midfielder. His best attributes in the game are sprint speed, stamina and balance.

Safuwan made his highly anticipated A-League debut on Saturday, coming in to the Melbourne City starting line-up as a replacement for injured defensive midfielder Erik Paartalu. However, he was unable to prevent Melbourne City crashing to a 0-3 loss against city rivals Melbourne Victory, having been substituted after an hour.

On Safuwan’s performance, his coach John van’t Schip said: “Looking at him today… he was not afraid to challenge, he was not afraid to coach (provide directions to teammates), he wanted to have the ball; he was strong in the air defensively but also when we go forward.

Lionel Messi scored a glorious top corner finish in warm up for Barcelona vs Villarreal

Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi is one of the best players in the world. So, when he does things like this to his own teammate, Ter Stegen, in warmups, it should come as no surprise.

In the video, originally from Mirror, Messi went over to Stegen just before their matchup against Villareal and curled the ball right past Stegen, as he froze in awe of the strike. Messi went on to bury the game-winning shot in the game as well for Barcelona.

It’s a good job Ter Stegen wasn’t starting in goal for Barcelona the other night, we’ve got a sneaky suspicion he wouldn’t have been feeling too confident.

When warming up for Barca’s La Liga tie with Villareal Lionel Messi wandered overto give the young German goalkeeper a couple of warm up shots, sort of.

Turns out Messi was in no mood for taking it easy on the 22-year-old and beautifully curled his left-footed striker past a motionless Stegen and in off the bar.

It all worked out quite well for the Catalan side though, Messi went and scored the winning goal during the game with a similarly stunning strike. Just with his “weaker” right foot.

EACH week FIFA Ultimate Team assembles the best players from international and club competition around the world, but this time round there are not Premier League stars to be seen.

The collection of players available to challenge in FIFA Ultimate Team this week instead features one player who could be about to seal a move to top four contenders, Manchester United.

In Turkey, only one point separates first place from third as Fenerbahçe, Be?ikta? and Galatasaray vie for the Super Lig title.

Wesley Sneijder, the attacking midfielder heavily linked in this winter transfer window with a move to England, opened the scoring for Galatasaray as they took care of Rizespor 2-0.

Fenerbahce meanwhile defeated Kas?mpasa 0-3 with former Liverpool star Dirk Kuyt scoring twice for the visitors.

The Holland international has been a long-term target for Louis van Gaal ever since he took charge at Old Trafford last summer.

Sneijder came close to joining the Red Devils before the start of the season, but opted to stay in Turkey amidst rumours of a bid from Juventus.

However, the Italian giants have now given up on signing the former Inter Milan and Real Madrid star, reportedly leaving the way clear for United.

Two players from England did make the overall FUT team, both from Championship clubs.

Striker Ross McCormack made the cut with Fulham, while Odion Ighalo, also a striker joined the ranks of the reserves with Watford.

  • Use actual defenders with good size and decent pace.
  • When fighting for ball possession, use B on Xbox and O for PlayStation.
  • Use “park the bus” tactics, where the defenders will keep their position and will cover each other, while the other players will also support.
  • Do not change forward with your defenders.
  • Learn how to predict the next move of your opponent.
