Cristiano Ronaldo “loves” Manchester United’s supporters but is destined to finish his career with Real Madrid, according to his agent.

Jorge Mendes believes reigning Ballon d’Or winner Ronaldo would command a £300m transfer fee if Champions League winners Real decided to sell him.

United attempted to re-sign Ronaldo in 2013 under David Moyes, however the winger eventually signed a monster new deal with Real and helped them to a 10th European Cup.

And although Ronaldo, who turns 30 this week, reportedly still feels very strongly about United, Mendes is adamant that the Ballon d’Or winner and “best player ever” will be staying with the Spanish giants.

“He loves the Man United supporters, he told me because he was there for six years, But now he is at Real Madrid, he will not leave Real Madrid. Cristiano Ronaldo is the best player ever in the world and the best sportsman ever. So you can’t compare Cristiano Ronaldo with anyone else. It’s impossible to find someone like him. But the good news for Ronaldo suitors is that despite his reported £1billion release clause, there may be an opportunity to get him on the cheap… well, relatively at least. If for any reason the club decide to sell him for £300m, someone will pay.” Mendes told the BBC.
